Content Analysis - Football Factory

Camera Techniques
-Quick changing camera angles during fight scenes to emphasise action and disorganisation/chaos
-Often shown from a character's point of view when looking at something/someone of importance. Most scenes involving this technique allow the audience to empathise more fully with the character who's view they have taken on.
-High angles often as if from CCTV footage emphasising the city/industrial aspect of the film as well as remind the audience of the crime aspect

Costumes/Mise en Scene
-Hoods and hats representative of the lower class characters
-Nearly all male characters have shaved heads. Stereotypical of the white working class
-Some of the men with higher status wear seemingly more expensive clothing, with brands, to show their power and what they have earned
-Drugs shown and used frequently. Cocaine taken by many of the characters regularly, again reminding the audience that their group is somewhat of a criminal underworld. Large drug dealings take place under-cover
-Main group of characters seem to start fights almost wherever they go, in some cases getting them in trouble with the police. This demonstrates a cause/effect which is brushed aside by the arrogant nature of the characters.
-A clip of someone playing Grand Theft Auto is shown. The game was made by the producers of Football Factory, Rockstar Games, and is notoriously violent and crime-filled, reflecting the atmosphere of the film.

Locations
-Starts outside a council estate
-Characters spend most of their free time in a pub
-Urban locations show large amounts of graffiti to show how common crime and vandalism is.

Editing

-Opening shows images of riots and violence, quickly interchanging
-Landscape of London and the view from the Thames repeatedly shown
-Some clips shown to be in an almost dream-like state when seemingly predicting the future for some characters

Sound
-Opening song 'Swastica Eyes' tells the audience a lot about the film.
-Fast paced, adrenaline fuelled.
-Constant abusive language again stereotypical of the main characters backgrounds
-Music always fast paced, representative of the mood of the characters as well as their actions.
